Hello Friends in Christ,
We are just a few days away from celebrating our Savior’s birth. And as I reflect on the enormity of this precious gift from our Heavenly Father, I am humbled by what He has called me to do for those who suffer in His name.
The Lord has done some amazing work through LumenLife and the book Heirloom Love, and people like you who have donated to and even become activists in the fight for the persecuted…thank you.
But what inspires me most in this journey is our persecuted brothers and sisters themselves. I am so grateful to Jesus for bringing them into my life.
Their sacrificial love for Jesus and people inspires and challenges me day in and day out. They give me courage to share boldly in the face of danger, perseverance to stand firm in unimaginable trials, and faith undaunted by circumstance and tragedy.
In these strong, courageous and faithful servants, I get to witness how Jesus loves us. I get a glimpse into the extravagant display of love that rocked the world 2,000 years ago…and can make a difference in our world today.
Thank you for opening your hearts to their hardships and suffering alongside them in 2018 — I know it wasn’t easy. But I do know that when we carry their burdens we share in the sufferings of Christ as well, and as a blessing, we grow closer to Him.
I am joyfully anticipating what the Lord has planned for LumenLife in 2019. If you feel led to support the persecuted, please click here and 100% of your donations will be used to care for the persecuted.
Wishing you a blessed and joyous Christmas!
Until next year, Mercy and Truth be with you.
Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
