Our friends in Nigeria notified us today that the Islamists are planning a massive coordinated attack against several Christian villages in Nigeria’s Kaduna State. One pastor told us, “we expect to be under attack very soon”.
The Nigerian Islamists are well-armed with state-of-the-art weaponry. Our Nigerian brothers and sisters are unarmed and like lambs going to the slaughter.
Please join us as one body in Christ by standing in the gap for our family who is in harm’s way.
As you pray, be encouraged by Jehoshaphat who, when he was greatly outnumbered by evil men, he prayed*:
Jehoshaphat was afraid and turned his attention to seek the Lord and he said, “O Lord, the God of our fathers, are You not God in the heavens?
And are You not ruler over all the kingdoms of the nations? Power and might are in Your hand so that no one can stand against You.
Should evil come upon us, we will stand before You and cry to You in our distress, and You will hear and deliver us. For we are powerless before this great multitude who are coming against us; nor do we know what to do, but our eyes are on You.
And dwell on the Lord’s reply to Jehoshaphat:
Do not fear or be dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours but God’s. You need not fight in this battle; station yourselves, stand and see the salvation of the Lord on your behalf. Do not fear or be dismayed, for the Lord is with you.
Please share this emergency prayer request with your church and friends who love Jesus and pray.
