God Is Not Ashamed To Be Called Their God!

Having confessed that they were strangers and exiles on the earth…
they are seeking a country of their own…
they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one.
Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God…
(Hebrews 11:13-16)

Bartu Urawn and his wife who live in India have earned a place in the great hall of faith.

Bartu died last month after he and his wife were forced on a cold winter night to stand neck deep in a pond for 17 hours.

According to local witnesses, throughout the night the villagers kept asking our dear brother to forsake Christ and return to their ancestral religion.  And brother Bartu replied every time, “I will not deny Christ … I will continue to believe till my last breath”.

The accuser of our brothers and sisters was silenced on that fateful night and God was glorified by their steadfast faith before a great cloud of witnesses! (re: Revelation 12:10-12)

Bartu was paralyzed from the frigid water and died shortly after from trauma-related complications.  His wife has since recovered from the incident.

Bartu finished the race and won the prize.  But his wife and children are still running the race and they need our help.

They’re struggling under the weight of the grief and loss and they’re still being persecuted.  The local police won’t acknowledge Bartu’s murder.  They officially recorded his death as from natural causes.

Their village wouldn’t allow them to bury Bartu so they had to walk and carry his body more than 6 miles in order to bury him on government land.  Then, they were forced to flee and resettle in another village because after the burial their neighbors threatened to kill them.

The accuser of our brothers and sisters will again be silenced and God will be glorified as we prove our love for one another by carrying these dear brothers and sisters’ burdens in prayer.

brother Dominic
