We are with our brothers and sisters in Sutherland Springs, Texas

What happened in Texas on Sunday is more than just sad. We mourn because we lost part of our family, part of the body we share. We grieve because the surviving part of our body in Sutherland is suffering.

“We … are one body in Christ,
and individually members of one another.”1
“If one member suffers, all the members suffer with it.”2

ALL shootings and mass murders are tragic. But what happened in Texas happened to our family. This is the body of Christ.

Our brothers and sisters in Sutherland need our prayers and I know that you are praying for them. They also need to be reminded that WE ARE ONE BODY and they are not alone.

Please write them a letter or send them a card and share your heartfelt love and prayers…they need us. Consider bringing enough cards or stationary to church this week so that everyone in your church or Sunday School can write a message of hope and love to our Sutherland family.

Keep on loving each other as brothers and sisters.
Remember those in prison, as if you were there yourself.
Remember also those being mistreated,
as if you felt their pain in your own bodies.
(Hebrews 13:1,3 NLT)

Please share this message with your church and friends who love Jesus and pray.

grace and peace,
brother Dominic
